Smart Pot: An Automated Plant Watering System
Feb 2022 - May 2022
EE459: Embedded Systems
This collaborative capstone project involved the design and construction of a smart pot – an embedded system for automated plant care. The system monitors key environmental factors that influence plant health:
Soil Moisture: Continuously tracks moisture levels in the soil to ensure optimal hydration for the specific plant.
Light: Measures ambient light conditions to determine if supplemental lighting is necessary.
Temperature: Monitors the surrounding temperature to identify potential stress factors for the plant.

Based on the sensor data, the embedded system dispenses water as needed, automating the irrigation process and promoting healthy plant growth. This project demonstrates the application of embedded systems principles in creating a practical solution for domestic plant care.
